Deacon Ministry

Meet Your Deacon

        Glen Beach
Glen and his family joined FCBC in 2003.  He has served as Deacon for three years.  He and his beautiful wife of 20 years, Amy, along with their three children, Luke, Jake and Sophie, live in the Owings area.  The whole family is involved in the church in many ways, including AWANA, youth group, skateboard ministry, and Amy on the Praise Team.  Glen is proud to serve with the men of FCBC on the ‘All the King’s Men’ Disaster Relief Team, and has participated in relief trips to Mississippi and Indiana.

Away from church and work, Glen’s hobbies include all things outdoors.  He enjoys coaching his boy’s baseball teams, fishing with the kids at his pond, and taking the kids hunting.  He unwinds after a stressful day at work by being serenaded by Sophie’s piano talents.  Glen is also devoted to the local sports teams (Skins, Caps, Nats and Wizards) when he can find a few precious minutes to stretch out on the couch.

        Tim Russell
Tim was born and raised in Oregon.  He and his family moved here from Oregon in March of 2004, to take on a new job in the Annapolis area, and joining the church later that year.  He currently resides in Deale with his wife of nearly 30 years, Sue, his daughter Leslie (23), and his son David (20).  Tim, Sue, and David are all active in the church's AWANA program on Sunday nights, where Tim is the AWANA Commander for this year.  It is rewarding to see the children fellowshipping with each other as well as memorizing God's word. Little do they know that they are learning tools that will positively effect the rest of their lives.  Leslie has now finished college and is engaged to Marry Daniel "Danny" Doll in October of 2010.  David is active in the worship team Sunday mornings playing the drums and works for a local HVAC company.  Leslie works for a toy store in Annapolis.  Sue is employed as an accounts receivable person at a local electrical contractor company.  She is also the church's attendance secretary, gathering and tallying the daily records.

Tim's hobbies include ham radio, playing guitar, and working with Linux computer operating systems.  Ham radio is a hobby he has been active with since he was 15, and which eventually lead to his occupational field - electrical engineering with an emphasis in radio frequency design.  Drive by his house some time and see his big antennas!!!  He also dabbles some with wood working.  Sue's hobbies include sewing and other hand crafts.  Leslie's hobbies include reading, reading, and more reading.  David's hobbies include ANY AND ALL SPORTS.  (Go Cowboys!)
